The Environment Programme set up educational boards in the area of the Nature Park Zeta River

in order to contribute to the preservation and improvement of the Zeta River

Through the project Balkans Waters: bioindicators, education and tourism, the Environment Programme EnvPro set up educational boards in the area of the Nature Park “Zeta River”. The boards indicate how we can contribute to the preservation of this protected area by researching seven bioindicator species and entering the necessary data about them into the APPLICATION (biomonitoring.me), which you can access via the QR codes highlighted on these boards.

The application contains detailed instructions on how to use and entries data for each type of bioindicator. The table is bilingual in Montenegrin and English. They were installed in four locations along the Zeta River: by the main bridge in Danilovgradi, in the town of Vranjska njive, Tunjevo and Dobropoljski izvori.

The goal is to include the general public, school children, fishermen, tourists, biologists, students, researchers and all visitors to this area in the biomonitoring process, which aims to contribute to the protection and improvement of this area.

Therefore, visit Rijeka Zeta, get to know the important indicators of the health of this ecosystem and contribute to its preservation!!!

The project is implemented in cooperation with the global environmental organization - The Nature Coservancy and is supported by the United States Forest Service.
