As part of our ongoing efforts to protect and manage natural heritage, we recently conducted a field visit to the stunning beech forest in the Međureč Canyon. This visit also included a collaborative workshop focused on developing a comprehensive conservation and management plan of protecting this unique ecosystem.

Through biodiversity mapping, capacity-building workshops, and monitoring programs, we aim to pave the way for the formal declaration of this area as a protected.
The process brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including experts from Eberswalde University, national and local senior and young researchers, Ministry of ecology, Ulcinj municipality, Local Tourism organisation, local NGOs, Mt. club Rumija, local enthusiasts, and other community actors.
